NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Kyle O’Quinn scored 18 points to lead Norfolk State to a 76-59 victory over Morgan State Saturday night in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

The Spartans (16-6, 8-0) remained unbeaten in the MEAC behind the play of O’Quinn, who hit 7 of 11 shots from the floor, and Pendarvis Williams, who scored 14 points. Norfolk State led 41-22 at halftime.

The Spartans only sank three 3-pointers in nine attempts but that hardly mattered. Not the way Morgan State (5-13, 3-4) misfired. The Bears hit just two of 15 3-pointers. They shot 23.3 percent in the first half, 7 for 30, and made just 1 of 11 from the 3-point arc. Overall, Morgan State shot 31.1 percent from the field (19 for 61).

Kevin Thompson led Morgan State with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Norfolk State was 17 for 24 at the line, 28 for 67 overall.
