HAVANA (AP) — Cuba’s best known Olympic athlete, hurdler Dayron Robles, is complaining about training conditions ahead of this summer’s games in London.
Robles says conditions are terrible and there’s a lack of support for him and other track athletes.
Robles is the world-record holder in the 110-meter hurdles. He says he’s still training hard and will do everything in his power to win medals.
His coach says Robles is in “excellent form” and is aiming to set a new record in the 60-meter hurdles in upcoming track events.
Robles spoke Tuesday in an interview with The Associated Press.
