JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Ty Greene’s 17 points paced five South Carolina-Upstate players in double figures as the Spartans downed Jacksonville State 82-77 Monday night, tying a season high with their fourth straight win.

Torrey Craig added 15 points, Adrian Rodgers 13 while both Mario Blessing and Ricardo Glenn had 11 apiece for the Spartans (14-9).

S.C. Upstate, of the Atlantic-Sun Conference, and Jacksonville State, of the Ohio Valley Conference, traded leads throughout until a late run turned the tide for good.

With the Spartans trailing 60-56 with 8 minutes left, a Glenn layup, a Rodgers jumper and a Greene 3-pointer sparked a 15-4 run to give S.C. Upstate the lead for good.

The Spartans overcame 17 turnovers by scoring 16 points off 12 giveaways by the Gamecocks.

Brian Williams scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Gamecocks (9-14), who had their season-best streak of three straight wins snapped in defeat.
