DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Chris Perez scored 14 of his 22 points in the first half to help Stetson win 75-59 over Kennesaw State Monday night.

Kennesaw State jumped out to an early 7-4 lead before Stetson used a 21-2 run to go ahead 25-9 with 8:10 left in the first half. Willie Green capped the run with a steal and fast-break dunk.

Green scored all 10 of his points in the first half.

The Owls (3-20, 0-11 Atlantic Sun Conference) wouldn’t get any closer, as the Hatters pushed their lead to 35-14 behind a Perez layup, took a 42-22 lead into halftime, and led by at least 13 throughout the second half.

The win snapped Stetson’s five-game losing streak and extended Kennesaw State’s losing streak to 11 games.

The Hatters (8-14, 5-6) have won the last two matchups with Kennesaw State after losing the previous four.

Markeith Cummings led the Owls with 19.
