Bowling Green blisters Western Michigan 72-48

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — Dee Brown had 21 points and Bowling Green blistered the nets in the second half, shooting 76 percent, to cruise past Western Michigan 72-48 Wednesday night.

Jordon Crawford had 16 points and eight assists for the Falcons (10-11, 4-4 Mid-American), who led 24-22 at the half before shooting past the Broncos (10-12, 4-4). The Falcons shot 58 percent overall.

Brown scored 16 points after halftime and Crawford had 13. A’uston Calhoun had 12 of his 15 points in the second half for BGSU, which outscored Western Michigan 14-0 on fastbreak points — all after halftime — and had 33 points off of 22 Bronco turnovers for the game. The Falcons made 19 of 25 second-half shots.

Shayne Whittington led Western Michigan with 12 points, and Mike Douglas scored 10.
