OCEAN SHORES, Wash. (AP) — Police say two officers were choked and bitten when they tried to break up a fight Tuesday night between a 42-year-old woman and her 24-year-old daughter in Ocean Shores.

Chief of Public Safety Mike Styner tells KBKW both officers were treated at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen after making the arrests.

The mother and daughter were jailed for investigation of assaulting officers. Police say the women had been drinking.
