PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Sidiki Johnson will transfer from Arizona to Providence next season, his new school announced on Wednesday.

Johnson will join a highly touted recruiting class, which already includes guards Kris Dunn and Rick Ledo.

Johnson, a 6-9, 235-pound freshman forward, was suspended by Arizona coach Sean Miller on Nov. 21 for an undisclosed violation of team policy. Johnson left the Arizona program 13 days later.

He played a total of 7 minutes over three games for the Wildcats this season and averaged 0.3 points and 0.7 rebounds per game.

He was ranked the No. 11 power forward recruit before the season by Rivals.com.

“I’m excited to build a relationship with Sidiki Johnson and his family,” Providence coach Ed Cooley said.
