Stony Brook routs Binghamton 82-48 in America East

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Anthony Jackson scored 14 points as Stony Brook led 50-15 at halftime and trounced winless Binghamton 82-48 Wednesday night in America East action.

The victory, the Seawolves’ fifth straight and 11th in 12 games, kept Stony Brook (14-7, 9-1) atop the conference. It extended Binghamton’s (0-22, 0-10) two-season losing streak to 23 games.

The game was so lopsided that Jackson came off the Seawolves’ bench to score 14 points in the first half, one shy of Binghamton’s team total.

The Bearcats shot 28.6 percent (6 of 21) from the field in the first half. Stony Brook was 19 of 31 from the field. That included a 9 of 12 performance from the 3-point arc. Binghamton was 0-for-3 on treys.

Overall, Stony Brook was 32-for-57 from the floor, Binghamton 18-for-48.

Bryan Dougher scored 13 for Stony Brook.

Robert Mansell led Binghamton with 10 points.
