CLEVELAND (AP) — Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner is set to be activated after missing more than one month following knee surgery.

Hafner said Tuesday that he will be activated before Wednesday’s series finale against the Los Angeles Angels. Hafner made a rehab start on Monday, going 0 for 4 in Triple-A Columbus’ game at Toledo. He reported no problems and said he’s fully recovered after undergoing right knee surgery on May 31.

Indians manager Manny Acta said the club has missed Hafner in the middle of its lineup. Hafner hasn’t played since May 23. He is batting .242 with six home runs and 23 RBIs.

The 35-year-old is in the final season of a four-year, $57 million contract. The Indians hold a club option for next season worth $13 million.
