A local nonprofit and the mayors from Camas and Washougal will host a screening of the HBO documentary “Weight of the Nation” and discussion of the film.
Organizers of the “Camas and Washougal on a Diet” yearlong weight-loss challenge are hosting the viewing. The event will feature one segment of the four-part documentary on obesity in America.
Following the screening, organizers will lead a discussion and question-and-answer session. Attendees will be given tips and materials for managing a healthy lifestyle.
The event is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. July 11 at Liberty Theatre, 315 N.E. Fourth Ave., in downtown Camas. Complimentary tickets can be printed on the program’s website.
