White Sox claim Moskos

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago White Sox have claimed left-hander Daniel Moskos off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Moskos was designated for assignment on June 26. The White Sox optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Moskos was 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 31 appearances for the Pirates last season. The fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft was 23-26 with a 4.39 ERA in 169 minor league games in the Pirates’ chain.
