The summer deadline to have a brick engraved in Esther Short Park is July 18.

The engraved bricks around the bell tower in Propstra Square are a way to commemorate a loved one or friend; the money pays for flowers and plantings in Esther Short Park.

The program is through the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

Each brick is $100 and holds up to 18 characters including spaces.
