ALBERTVILLE, France (AP) — The 11th stage of the Tour de France has started with Bradley Wiggins holding the overall lead in the first big mountain test of the race.

The Briton is wearing the yellow jersey on Thursday for a fourth consecutive stage, a 148-kilometer trek in the Alps from Albertville that ends with a grueling ascent to the ski resort of La Toussuire. It features two beyond classification climbs before a final 18-kilometer ascent at an average gradient of 6.1 percent.

Wiggins’ main rivals, defending champion Cadel Evans of Australia and Vincenzo Nibali and Italy, said they will do their best to try to unsettle him.
