ATLANTA (AP) — A power outage at Turner Field caused a 16-minute delay in Friday night’s game between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves were leading 2-0 with two outs in the top of the second inning, and Tim Hudson was pitching to the Mets’ Jose Thole, when power was lost at the stadium.

After only a few seconds, limited power was restored, including to the scoreboard, but the stadium lights were still out. Stadium lights began to return after about 10 minutes.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the loss of power, but there were heavy storms with lightning in Atlanta on Friday afternoon.
