Four people were transported to a local hospital Saturday evening after a car crashed into the rear of a tractor near Northeast 72nd Avenue and 151st Street in Brush Prairie, Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver of the Nissan Maxima that hit the tractor was thrown from her vehicle and broke her leg, said Sgt. Tony Barnes with Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The 16-year-old driver of the tractor was apparently concussed upon being thrown from the machine.

Two passengers in the Maxima were taken to Southwest Peacehealth Medical Center with minor injuries.

The names of the injured people were not immediately available.

Authorities are still investigating the crash’s cause. The wreck happened at 5:54 p.m., when the tractor was between the northbound lane and shoulder, Barnes said.

The car’s driver is expected to be ticketed, though Barnes was unclear what the citation would be.
