Lillard helps lead Blazers to summer win

First-round draft pick Damian Lillard scored a game-high 25 points as the Portland Trail Blazers summer squad defeated the New Orleans Hornets 85-82 on Sunday in Las Vegas Summer League action.

After trailing 46-29 at the half, the Blazers outscored the Hornets 31-13 in the third quarter.

Luke Babbitt had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and first-round draft pick Meyers Leonard had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Nolan Smith added 10 points.

Portland’s second summer league game is 5 p.m. Tuesday against the Rockets.
