COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Crew midfielder/defender Bernardo Anor tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Saturday’s match against Sporting Kansas City and will miss the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old Venezuelan suffered the injury in the 63rd minute, but he was able to finish the match. Subsequent medical tests revealed the severity of the injury.

Anor is currently receiving treatment and will undergo surgery later this month, followed by approximately 8 to 10 months of rehabilitation.

Anor had started five games, scoring one goal — a game-winner — with seven shots.
