Foligno, Aucoin say they’re good fit with Jackets

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Nick Foligno and Adrian Aucoin, the newest Columbus Blue Jackets, both express how happy they are to be with the club and how excited they are to be part of a new start.

The big question lurking behind their words is what the team will look like if and when the Blue Jackets meet captain Rick Nash’s demand to be traded.

Until that situation is clarified, Foligno — acquired in a one-for-one deal with Ottawa for defenseman Marc Methot — is expected to be a solid offensive contributor on a team that could be starved for goals. Aucoin, a veteran defenseman who played most recently with Phoenix before signing a free-agent contract, will school the youngsters while adding a steady hand on the blue line.
