MILWAUKEE (AP) — Guard T.J. Taylor has been granted his release from Marquette, with the school citing personal reasons for the decision.

Golden Eagles coach Buzz Williams announced the move in a statement Wednesday.

Williams says, “we are in complete support of his decision and we wish him all the best in his future as a student-athlete.”

Taylor, who arrived on campus in early July for the start of class, was in his first season with the Golden Eagles. The Denison, Texas, native was a standout at Paris Junior College in 2011-12.

He signed with Oklahoma as a freshman in 2010-11 but never played for the Sooners after sustaining a concussion.
