Vancouver-based Riverview Community Bank says it is allocating $100 million for local lending in a new marketing campaign “to make a difference during a persistent economic slump throughout the region.”

The marketing campaign follows Riverview’s recent promotion of Richard “Dick” Michalek to the position of executive vice president and chief lending officer. Michalek said in a news release that Riverview is focusing its efforts on owner-occupied real estate as well as commercial and industrial loans.

Riverview’s campaign coincides with Spokane-based Sterling Bank’s full integration next Monday of the former First Independent Bank into its operational system. Sterling acquired First Independent in February, leaving Riverview as the sole Clark County-based bank.
