DETROIT (AP) — Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura says right-hander Gavin Floyd should be ready to pitch Monday after recovering from right elbow tendinitis.

The White Sox also activated right-handed reliever Jesse Crain from the disabled list before Saturday’s game at Detroit. They optioned right-hander Brian Omogrosso to Triple-A Charlotte.

Floyd is 7-8 with a 4.54 ERA. He is on the disabled list retroactive to July 8, the day after his most recent start.

Crain is 2-1 with a 2.38 ERA in 24 appearances. He last pitched June 23 and has been out with a strained right shoulder.
