NEW YORK (AP) — The Brooklyn Nets have signed C.J. Watson to back up Deron Williams at point guard. General manager Billy King announced the signing Monday without disclosing terms.
Watson played in 49 games for Chicago last season, making 25 starts because of injuries to Derrick Rose. He averaged 11.3 points and 4.6 assists in 29.2 minutes as a Bulls’ starter. The former Tennessee product started five of Chicago’s six playoff games, averaging 7.3 points and 5.5 assists.
Watson has also played for the Golden State Warriors.
