Letter: Just wondering?

The Columbian
Published: July 26, 2012, 5:00pm

Questions I would like answered:

  1. Where has the define-it-yourself phrase “American Dream” come from? Certainly not from the Constitution or the Declaration.

  2. What is the “poverty level” numerically, and what is the modal income in the U.S.?

  3. Based on performance to date, when will the Mariners be mathematically eliminated from the post-season?

  4. Why do politicians apologize, (which means nothing) when what is required is a retraction?

  • Isn’t “Corporations are people” semantically like “Anthills are ants”?

  • Larry Rivette
