DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Amazombie rallied down the stretch to win the $300,000 Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar on Sunday.
Under Mike Smith, Amazombie, ran the six furlongs in 1:08.65, beating The Factor by 114 lengths.
Amazombie returned $5.80, $2.60 and $2.10. The Factor paid $2.40 and $2.10, while Capital Account paid $2.20.
It was Amazombie’s 12th victory in 27 lifetime starts and the win increased his earnings to $1,905,378.
