Currency Swap wins Amsterdam Stakes at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Currency Swap beat Doctor Chit by 1 3/4 lengths Sunday in the $200,000 Amsterdam Stakes for 3-year-olds at Saratoga Race Course.

Ridden by Rajiv Maragh and trained by Terri Pompay, Currency Swap raced his third victory in three starts at Saratoga, including the 2011 Hopeful Stakes, and had four victories and seven career races. He ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.33 and earned $120,000 for Klaravich Stable.

Currency Swap paid $5.60, $3.20 and $2.60.

Doctor Chit returned $3 and $2.60, and Unbridled’s Note paid $5.40 to show.
