FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Mike Magee scored in the 62nd minute to lift the short-handed Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night.

The defending MLS champion Galaxy (10-10-3), playing without stars Landon Donovan and David Beckham, extended their unbeaten streak to 4-0-1. Los Angeles has lost just twice in its last 10 matches (7-2-1).

Galaxy goalkeeper Josh Saunders needed to make just one save for his fourth shutout of the year.

Dallas (5-11-7) has split its last four games (2-2-0) since a franchise-record 13-game winless skid (0-7-6) dropped it to last in the Western Conference.

Donovan sat out after he was suspended for the first time in his MLS career for yellow card accumulation, while Beckham had not rejoined the team after participating in the opening ceremonies at the London Olympics on Friday night.
