A 3-year-old boy was airlifted Saturday afternoon after a Ford Excursion rolled over him in Yacolt.

Details were sketchy.

The boy eventually was taken to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, according to North Country EMS Chief Ben Peeler. The boy was not in critical condition.

North Country Emergency Medical Service and Fire District 13 arrived around 4:30 p.m. The boy was transported from 23212 N.E. W H Garner Road, where he was injured, to Yacolt Primary School. He was then flown via Life Flight to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where his condition was determined to be stable. The child was then transferred to Doernbecher in a medical van.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.

The boy’s name was not released.
