Bricks from the old Amboy Middle School, which was demolished June 23 in a firefighting exercise, will be given away 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 11.

Rubble from the old school will remain inaccessible behind a security fence until the giveaway.

The public is asked to give those who attended or worked at the school a 30-minute head start on the bricks that morning.

The demolished school is at the corner of Highway 503 and Chelatchie Road in Amboy, west of the new Amboy Middle School.
