COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Tyler Herb pitched a two-hitter and Jacob May hit a three-run homer as Coastal Carolina knocked Manhattan out of the NCAA tournament’s Columbia Regional 11-1 on Saturday.

The Chanticleers (42-18) take on South Carolina or Clemson in another elimination game Sunday. The Jaspers (33-27) lost two straight in a regional for the second straight year.

Herb (9-2) never gave Manhattan a chance, allowing just a second-inning double to Joe McClennan through the first eight innings.

May led off the sixth with a single and scored the tiebreaking run that put Coastal ahead for good. May broke things open an inning later with his three-run shot to right for his second homer of the season.

Manhattan was held to three hits over its two games at Carolina Stadium.
