COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Stefan Crichton threw a six-hitter and Derek Odell homered to lead TCU to a 10-2 victory over Texas A&M on Sunday, eliminating the College Station Regional’s top seed.

The Horned Frogs scored lone runs in each of the first three innings — all they’d need for the efficient Crichton (9-2), who struck out four and walked only one.

TCU (38-20) was scheduled to face Mississippi in the regional title game. The Rebels are 2-0 in the regional, and the Horned Frogs need to beat them twice.

Kyle Von Tungeln led the Horned Frogs with three hits, and had two RBIs, as did Kevin Cron and Brance Rivera. Odell’s home run to right field in the bottom of the third lifted TCU to a 3-2 lead against the Aggies (43-18), who were hoping to make it to the College World Series in consecutive seasons for the first time.
