CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Kevin Courtney doubled twice and drove in three runs in a seven-run seventh for Stony Brook, who eliminated Missouri State with a 10-7 win Sunday and advanced to the championship game of the Coral Gables Regional.

No. 4 seed Stony Brook (48-12) will have to beat UCF twice to win their first regional in school history. UCF has also never won a regional.

Missouri State (40-22) jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first off Evan Stecko-Haley (7-4), who lasted just 1 1/3 innings. A two-run homer by Maddox stretched the lead to 7-2.

Courtney led off the pivotal seventh with a double to right and with the score tied at 7 later in the inning, he hit a bases-clearing double to left for a 10-7 lead.
