Volcanoes roll past Nippon Tornadoes

Andre Murray scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds as the Vancouver Volcanoes defeated the Nippon Tornadoes 152-108 in an International Basketball League game Saturday at Clark College’s O’Connell Sports Complex.

Nine Vancouver players were in double figures with four having a double-double.

Along with Murray, Devin Uskoski had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Jourdan Sweeney had 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Antwan Williams had 10 points and 10 assists.

Vancouver (8-4) is scheduled to play its next six games on the road before returning to the O’Connell Sports Complex on June 29 for its final regular-season weekend.
