SEATTLE (AP) — Seven years ago a Mercer Island mom had to figure out what to do when her first-grade daughter came home from school with head lice.

Nancy Gordon not only solved the problem she turned it into a business. She now operates five salons called “Lice Knowing You.” For $95 an hour, an attendant will comb an infested person’s hair with a fine-tooth comb to remove lice and their eggs, which are called nits.

The Seattle Times reports (http://is.gd/jegUfI ) Gordon’s nitpicking treatment avoid chemicals, but includes a natural oil recipe.
