TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) — Portland Police Officer Sean C. Sothern pleaded no contest Monday in Tillamook to a charge of reckless driving and was ordered to spend five days in jail.

He had been arrested in August for drunken driving while off-duty in Tillamook County.

The Oregonian reports (http://is.gd/QjBF12) as part of a plea deal, the judge dismissed four other charges, including attempting to elude police.

In October, Sothern had pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of intoxicants and entered a one-year diversion program. Sothern’s attorney James McIntyre said his client has completed alcohol treatment under the program and the DUII charge likely will be dismissed in November.
