Bhupathi, Mirza win mixed doubles title in Paris

PARIS (AP) — Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi of India won the French Open mixed doubles title Thursday by beating Klaudia Jans-Ignacik of Poland and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico 7-6 (3), 6-1.

Mirza and Bhupathi, who also won the 2009 Australian Open together, trailed 5-3 at the start before breaking back and forcing the tiebreaker.

Jans-Ignacik and Gonzalez were playing their first Grand Slam final.
