ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Coming out of Harvard, Buffalo Bills starter Ryan Fitzpatrick is quick to acknowledge his Ivy League-educated limitations when it came to learning how to play quarterback.

And despite having carved out a seven-year NFL career, Fitzpatrick will note that there’s plenty to improve on what’s essentially been his self-taught throwing style.

That’s where David Lee comes in.

Lee, the Bills new quarterback coach, and Fitzpatrick have been tied to the hip on the field since Buffalo opened its series of voluntary practices last week.

Lee has 38 years of coaching experience and credited for mentoring both Tony Romo and Eli Manning. Fitzpatrick is counting on the crash course in paying off to help him become better prepared for his second full season as the Bills unquestioned starter.
