Britain & Ireland cut US lead to 1 in Curtis Cup

NAIRN, Scotland (AP) — Britain and Ireland moved within a point of the United States in the Curtis Cup on Saturday, taking 2 1/2 of three points in the afternoon fourball matches.

The United States led 6 1/2-5 1/2 entering the eight singles matches Sunday.

Brooke Pancake and Austin Ernst earned a half-point for the United States in the afternoon matches, halving with Leona Maguire and Bronte Law.
