ATLANTA (AP) — Julio Teheran will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill in for Tim Hudson for the Braves on Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Hudson has bone spurs in his left ankle and said Saturday he had a cortisone shot Friday. Manager Fredi Gonzalez says Hudson may start Wednesday against the Yankees.

Teheran, the Braves’ top prospect, is 5-2 with a 3.15 ERA in 11 starts at Gwinnett. He pitched a seven-hit complete-game shutout, allowing only one run, in his last start against Charlotte. He was 1-1 with a 5.03 ERA in five games, including three starts, for Atlanta in 2011.

The Braves are expected to send catcher J.C. Boscan to Gwinnett after Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays to open a roster spot for Teheran.
