Sheriff’s deputies were called to Callaham’s mobile home park, 10804 N.E. Highway 99, about 8:35 p.m. Sunday on a reported car-pedestrian accident.

Turns out a 14-year-old boy was given a bike without brakes and told to not ride it outside the mobile home park, said Sgt. Randon Walker with Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Instead, the boy rode onto Highway 99, could not stop, and went over the handle bars and landed on his head near 104th Street.

A Good Samaritan in a pickup truck took the boy back to the mobile home park.

Walker said the boy was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment.
