Forward March wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Forward March splashed to a 1 3/4 length victory in the slop over Hangover Kid on Wednesday in the $77,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.

Eddie Castro guided the 3-year-old to his second win in five starts for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey. The time was 1:43.81 for the 1 1-16 mile race that was rained off the turf.

Forward March paid $6.90, $3.70 and $2.10. Hangover Kid returned $4.10 and $2.30 while Most Happy Fella paid $2.60 to show.
