FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Northern Arizona has hired Arizona assistant coach Sue Darling to lead the women’s basketball program.

Darling, an assistant women’s basketball coach at Arizona for the last four seasons, replaces Laurie Kelly, who resigned from Northern Arizona in April.

As the top assistant at Arizona, Darling served as the offensive coordinator and directed player and team development. She was also involved in recruiting, scouting and marketing.

Darling has coached for 27 years, including her stint at Arizona and a stint at Arizona State and three years as the head coach at Air Force.
