RIDGEFIELD — Arts and crafts, games and other activities will be offered for free to Ridgefield-area children next month during the city’s Summer Playground Program, co-sponsored by the city of Battle Ground.

The playground programs will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. each Tuesday in July at Davis Park in downtown Ridgefield. They are designed for children ages 4 to 10, officials said.

Program themes include “Celebrate America,” “Diggin Dirt,” “Circus Life,” “Summer Tropics” and “Fairy Tales”.

The Battle Ground Parks and Recreation Department originally created the program, which is offered through cooperation between the two cities.

You can learn more about this program by contacting Ridgefield Public Works Director Steve Wall at 360-887-8251 or visit the news and events section of the city’s website at www.ci.ridgefield.wa.us.
