LONDON (AP) — Gael Monfils of France has withdrawn from Wimbledon because of a knee injury.

Organizers said Wednesday that Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands has also pulled out, due to a viral illness.

The 15th-ranked Monfils missed the French Open last month because of a knee injury.

Top-ranked Novak Djokovic heads the men’s seedings at Wimbledon, and Maria Sharapova tops the women’s seedings for the first time.

The tournament starts Monday.
