Vancouver firefighters responded to the Vancouver Landing on the Columbia River at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday after someone called 911 to report three boaters in trouble.

Capt. Kevin Murray said three men in a four-man raft were in the river just west of the Interstate 5 Bridge. He said they were able to paddle to the dock without assistance.

But Murray said none of the men wore a life jacket and he warned boaters to be responsible.
