Shvedova wins ‘Golden Set’ vs Errani at Wimbledon

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan has achieved a “Golden Set” against 10th-seeded Sara Errani at Wimbledon, winning the first set 6-0 without dropping a single point in their third-round match.

Shvedova hit four aces and 14 winners overall in winning 24 straight points to wrap up the set in just 15 minutes on Saturday. Errani only had one unforced error in those six games.

The Italian broke Shvedova in the first game of the second set. The match was still being played on Court 3 at The All England Club.
