SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers and goalie Scott Clemmensen have agreed to a two-year contract extension.

Clemmensen was 14-6-6 in 30 regular-season appearances last season for the Southeast Division champions, and was 1-2 with a 2.35 goals-against average in the playoffs against New Jersey.

Clemmensen will be entering his fourth year with the Panthers this fall.

Panthers general manager Dale Tallon says Clemmensen is “a true professional in every sense” and the team was pleased to keep him. The Panthers announced the extension shortly after the free-agency window in the NHL opened on Sunday.
