KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Eleni Daniilidou of Greece defeated Australia’s Olivia Rogowska 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 on Saturday to move into the Malaysian Open semifinals.

Former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic from Serbia also advanced after her opponent, Japan’s sixth-seeded Ayumi Morita, pulled out because of a shoulder injury at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort.

Daniilidou will have only a few hours of rest before she faces Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-Wei in the semifinals. Second-seeded Jankovic, currently ranked 14th, will play No. 5 seed Petra Martic of Croatia.

The tournament has been hit by injuries and rain delays. Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland withdrew Friday due to an elbow injury.
