LAGOS, Portugal (AP) — Sidney Leroux scored in the 81st minute Friday night, leading the U.S. women to a 2-1 victory over Norway in the Algarve Cup.

Abby Wambach also scored for the Americans, who now play Japan on Monday in a rematch of the Women’s World Cup final. The U.S. needs a win or tie to qualify for the final of the Algarve Cup.

After coming up short on several chances in the first half, Wambach put the Americans on the board in the 51st off a cross from Heather Mitts. It was Wambach’s 133rd career goal.

Leroux made it 2-0 on a header from Heather O’Reilly, her seventh goal in as many games for the U.S.

Norway scored with just seconds left on Elise Thorsnes’ shot from close range.
