A veteran Vancouver schools administrator has been hired as interim principal at Hockinson Middle School, district officials said.

Douglas Goodlett will serve until the end of the school year, filling the void left when Principal Peter Rosenkranz went on medical leave Feb. 13. Goodlett’s hiring was announced at this week’s Hockinson School Board meeting.

Goodlett previously served as principal at Hudson’s Bay High School and Jason Lee Middle School in Vancouver before retiring. He most recently served as a district office administrator for the Stevenson-Carson School District in Stevenson, before retiring again prior to this school year.
