HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Tommy Brenton had a double-double, leading four Stony Brook scorers in double figures in the Seawolves’ 78-69 win over Binghamton in the America East quarterfinals Saturday.

Leading 34-28 at halftime Stony Brook (21-8) allowed Binghamton to come back on a 12-4 run to take a 40-38 lead with 15:45 to play. The top-seeded Seawolves then outscored Binghamton 11-7 to take the lead for good on Dave Coley’s free throws with 10:34 left.

Stony Brook moves on to the semifinals for the third consecutive season and will face either No. 4 Albany or No. 5 New Hampshire on Sunday. The Seawolves have now won 12 of their last 13 games and 18 of their last 20 as they chase their first-ever NCAA Tournament bid.

Coley finished with 14 points and Dallis Joyner, Bryan Dougher and Anthony Johnson scored 13 apiece for Stony Brook.

Ben Dickinson led Binghamton (2-29) with 20 points.
